ATA Meetings are open to all ATA Members.
Join us at 12p ET on January 21st, for a presentation and discussion with the University of Utah Health team on debriefing for critical incidents with tele-critical care: Invisible Frontlines: Supporting IT Professional's Mental Health in Telehealth Service.
Burnout among clinicians is well documented, but the mental health challenges faced by IT professionals supporting telehealth are often overlooked. This session examines the emotional toll on IT staff in high-stakes clinical settings, highlighting a critical incident that revealed this gap, and presents a structured support framework using Scott’s Three-Tier Interventional Model. Interventions included mandatory debriefings, stigma-free access to mental health resources, and simulation-based training, underscoring the need to extend mental health support to all members of the telehealth team.
This follows the University of Utah Health's presentation in October 2025.
