Germany has been a pioneer in the reimbursement of DTx product with its fast track pathway. 

As of December 31, 2025, a total of 58 DiGA were listed in the directory of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). Of these, 48 were permanently listed and only ten were still provisionally listed in the BfArM directory. In the five years since the introduction of DiGA in October 2020 through December 31, 2025, individuals with statutory health insurance have redeemed approximately 1.6 million DiGA activation codes – of which about 690,000 were redeemed in 2025.
